Steffen Krebber is a composer, sound artist and researcher. His work spans computer music, instrumental and electroacoustic composition, sound art, research, language, epistemology, sociology and media art.He was a scholarship recipient of the Akademie Schloss Solitude, the Künstlerhof Schreyahn, the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the City of Cologne's Bernd Alois Zimmermann Scholarship. His compositions have been performed at venues including the Gaudeamus Muziekweek, the Witten Days for New Chamber Music, the blurred edges – Festival for Contemporary Music Hamburg, the new talents Biennale Cologne, Nachtstrom Basel, and Piano+ at the ZKM Karlsruhe. Krebber has also exhibited at venues such as KOLUMBA – the art museum of the Archdiocese of Cologne, the Cologne Art Association, and the Akademie Schloss Solitude. His language installation "Weisageungen" (Prophecies) is part of the KOLUMBA art museum's collection. As a composer, he has already collaborated with numerous ensembles and performers, including the Thürmchen Ensemble, Ensemble PRAESENZ, radikal translation, SONAR Quartett, hand werk, LUX:NM, Ensemble Garage, Ensemble ascolta, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, as well as with Manos Tsangaris, Truike van der Poel, Sabine Akiko Ahrendt, Dirk Rothbrust, and others.
